Iconic character of Millimages’ studios, Molang was born from the encounter of two very different women. In 2010, Hye-Jie Yoon, Korean illustrator, doodles the very first iterations of Molang and Piu Piu on her student notebooks. Marie Caroline Villand, French author and director, sees them when they meet a couple years later, and immediately falls in love. She then created the characters, their stories, quirks and values, making them adorable best friends in a utopic universe.
From her work resulted a TV series – now in its 6th season; and an international lifestyle brand, supported by licensing agents across the globe. Viral phenomenon, Molang embodies kindness and positivity, and gathers over 10 million fans on social media, where they parody pop culture on Instagram, dance to Kpop songs on Tiktok, or post gameplay videos on YouTube.
